Make Exercise a Part of Your Life

Posted by admin in September 15th 2012

When people think about exercise, they often think of hours spent in a gym over-exerting themselves to the breaking point. In reality, exercise should feel like a part of your lifestyle and not some overinvestment of your time – it should be fun, not work. You can actually get all the exercise you need and you can even do it sitting in front of the television.

Based on a study conducted, it was revealed that people are quite capable of staying fit with little more than twenty minutes of exercise a day. You can easily knock that out using a step master or exercise bike while watching television or even walking the dog.

Another way you can seamlessly incorporate that twenty-minute exercise requirement is by biking, walking or jogging to work. If your commute is short enough that you don’t need to drive, you could handle your exercise requirement during the commute and then have the rest of the evening to yourself.

However you decide to handle the twenty-minute requirement, you now know that you don’t need to devote hours upon hours in a gym just to stay fit – unless, of course, that is what you want. So get up and get active.

Work Out Plans for People With Arthritis

Posted by www.dontblamethegame.com in May 6th 2012

Arthritis is not your grandmother’s disease any longer. The rate of arthritis, either Osteo or Rheumatory, is escalating in 2012, and approximately 50 million people have been told they have arthritis by a doctor. Over 50% of senior citizens have been diagnosed, but the rest are generally under 60! Statistics show that by the year 2030, over 67 million people over the age of 18 will have one form or the other.

One of the areas that affect arthritis the most is taking time to get exercise every day. It seems an oxymoron to exercise those joints that are aching, but research shows that even light exercise will keep those joints loosened up. Here are steps to take in developing a light fitness plan that works for you.

1. If you can get some active exercise in during the morning, it will help you all day. Moving actually stimulates the synovial fluid in your joints that will make less pain all day.
2. Take a warm shower in the morning to loosen your joints.
3. Take a nice walk after your shower, moving arms and legs to get your heart rate up. This builds an inside warmth and energy that releases tension and pain.
